I believe that powerful healing can happen in relationships. My favorite part of being a therapist is building strong, trusting relationships with my clients. I feel honored when clients share their experiences and inner world with me, and when I have the opportunity to witness their joy, pain, and amazing growth.
Individual Therapy
As a therapist my priority will be to form a strong, trusting relationship with you and create a space for you to reflect and explore that is safe and free of judgement. I invite you to come to therapy just as you are, and know that you are accepted that way. We will work together to reflect on what needs healing, change, and attention in your life. Whether you are exploring issues of identity, your relationships with those closest to you, feelings of anxiety or depression, or life changes and transitions, I will be happy to create a space for you to do so. You may want to process a crisis or trauma that you’ve experienced, or just want a safe and non-judgemental place to express yourself and feel heard. All of these and more are good reasons to utilize therapy.
Family Therapy
When transitions like separation, loss, big moves, and others happen in a family, they impact the entire family system. Often a change in children’s behavior is the most obvious sign that a family could use support. I believe that working with the whole family is the most powerful way of supporting a child with therapy. I use a strength-based and client centered approach to help families communicate better and strengthen their relationships to each other. If you are concerned about your child’s behavior and relationships in the family, or you want to proactively address upcoming changes and transitions, family therapy may help you, your child, and your family.
Parent Support
Parents have an enormous job in supporting their children’s wellbeing. Through my work as an early childhood mental health consultant, I have seen the strength and sacrifice many parents make to provide this support to their children, often with little support for themselves. I want to offer a space for parents to reflect on their own emotional experience and their needs, so they can feel more supported and build their capacity to be attuned and responsive to their children. I understand that parents are the experts on their own experience, and many cultural and environmental factors affect the way people parent, and I approach this work with deep respect and empathy.
Therapy Sessions
Sessions are 50 minutes, usually once per week.
My fee per session is $175 for individual sessions.
